F3KScore is a program for managing F3K/F5J/ALES/TD contests
Event Type
- The choice of the event type determines what tasks are available for the contest (see Task List section).
- Select Mixed type if you want to combine tasks from multiple event types.
Pilot List
- Add new competitor by entering a name in any empty row or paste a new list of pilots copied from Excel or Google Sheets.
- When pasting data from Excel/Google Sheets, copy a block of data (names, freqiencies, etc.) using Ctr+C keys,
then select the left-top destination cell in the pilots table and paste using Ctr+V keys.
- To delete competitors from the list, highlight the names, then hit Delete button.
- First frequency is used for generating the flight groups. Frequencies "2.4" and "2,4" are not checked for conflicts.
- Second frequency is not used for generating the flight groups. It is there only for keeping records of the backup channels.
- To use team protection when generating groups, use the same team name for 2 or more pilots, e.g. "TeamA", "TeamB".
- If you enter Class value for all pilots, you can separate the pilots into multiple Divisions (see Flight Matrix
section).
Task List
- Enter desired number of rounds in the text box.
- Click on the task name and select a task from the drop-down list to assign a task for each round.
Flight Matrix
- Enter desired number of flight groups in the text box.
- Click checkbox Use team protection when generating groups to enable team protection.
- Click button Generate to generate new random groups.
- Click checkbox Use letters for group names to change how groups are displayed (1,2,3 or A,B,C).
- Groups can be assigned manually by entering a letter or number directly in the table, or pasted from Excel/Google Sheets.
- Pilots can be separated into multiple Divisions, e.g., Division 1 can contain "Expert" pilots, Division 2 can contain
"Sportsman" and "Eagle" pilots, or "Sportsman" and "Junior" pilots. The pilots in each Division are never put into the same group, and their results are always calculated and normalized separately.
- To enable this feature, check the box
Separate pilots by class when generating the flight matrix on the pop-up dialog that comes up after clicking
Generate button. Then on the next pop-up dialog, select which classes you want in each Division, and how many groups will be generated for each Division.
Start List
- Displays the names of the pilots for each round/group.
- Use Print menu command to print the start list.
Round Scores
- Flight times and penalties for each pilot and each round are entered on this page.
- Flight time can be entered as seconds, or as minutes and seconds.
- Various symbols can be used for separating the seconds from the minutes, i.e. "1:12", "1.12", "1,12", "1 12".
- All times will be truncated to the max value if the task has a max limit.
- ATTENTION: in F3K task "1:00,2:00,3:00,4:00" the times must be entered in the correct order to avoid incorrect truncation.
Total Scores
- Pilot names and results are sorted by the total scores.
- Discarded scores are shown in parantheses.
- Penalty values are shown together with the round numbers where they were incurred.
- If you selected the option to separate pilots into mutliple Divisions, the results will be separated into multiple sections.
Team Scores
- Displays team results if teams were defined on the Pilot List.
- Pilot names and team results are sorted by the team scores.
- Team scores are a sum of individual pilot total scores as displayed on the Total Scores page.
